The Summer Drawing Skills class is an 8-week 60-minute class that teaches a new drawing skill / project each week. This allows the freedom for artists to come for as many or as few classes as wanted and pay per session. Each session a new skill and project will be presented and can be worked on throughout the week in the artist’s own time. Skills and projects are designed to be open ended so that artists can take the skill to a place of their personal choosing. Because of the wide age range and varied experiences in this class having open ended projects gives each artist an opportunity to create in their own sphere of experience while still being stretched artistically. The variety of outcomes per artist will be fun and inspiring for students to see and learn from.
An optional extra half hour art critique time is available at the end of class. This is for students who want to share the work they created during the week from the prior lesson by participating in a class art critique. Participation in art critiques give students the chance to critically analyze their work and the work of others. Artists learn best by seeing. When artists see and analyze the work of others and their own, skills and confidences grow. Through art critique, artists will learn to celebrate their strengths and improve upon their weaknesses. Artists who choose to participate in art critique understand they will learn about both the strengths and weaknesses in their work. We grow as artists by looking at both. Art critique parameters will be set up as an encouraging atmosphere. Art critiques will only take place if 3 or more students are participating.

Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another:
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty;
the whole earth is full of his glory.”
